Blue-Cloud 2026 - D2.6 Tuning between Blue-Cloud Data Lakes and DTO development, 1st report

The European Digital Twin Ocean (EU DTO) initiative, announced by President von der Leyen, aims to harness digital technology to provide comprehensive knowledge of the ocean. The European Digital Twin of the Ocean seeks to provide an innovative set of user-driven, interactive and decision-making tools backed by the best science and data. Its core development is underway with the European Union (EU) funding through the European Digital Twin Ocean (EDITO) R&D projects.

Blue-Cloud 2026 - D2.4 BDI sub-setting APIs and Data Lakes - Concept and Specifications Report

The Blue Cloud Data Discovery and Access Service (DD&AS) is one of the core components of the Blue-Cloud technical framework. It facilitates the discovery and retrieval of marine data sets and data products from blue data infrastructures (BDIs), such as key EU infrastructures such as EMODnet, SeaDataNet, EurOBIS, and more, for external users in stand-alone mode. It also interacts with the Blue-Cloud Virtual Research Environment, the component federating computing platforms and analytical services, for populating the VRE data pool.

Blue-Cloud 2026 - D5.1 Blue Cloud VRE Common Services 1st Release

This deliverable documents the design principles and software architecture characterising the release and development of the Blue-Cloud Virtual Research Environment (VRE) common services, namely the analytics computing framework, the catalogue framework, the storage framework and the enabling framework components. This report is the first of two versions, each one describing the design associated with a specific version of the VRE.

Blue-Cloud 2026 - D2.1 Existing DD&AS and Blue Data Infrastructures – Review and Specifications for Optimisation Report

The Blue Cloud Data Discovery and Access Service (DD&AS) is one of the components of the Blue-Cloud technical framework. It serves federated discovery and access to Blue Data Infrastructures (BDIs) for external users and also interacts with the Blue-Cloud Virtual Research Environment (the component federating computing platforms and analytical services) for populating the VRE data pool. Within the framework of the H2020 pilot Blue-Cloud project, the first operational release of the Blue-Cloud DD&AS was deployed.

Blue-Cloud 2026 - D2.2 New Blue Data Infrastructures – Service Analysis Report

The Blue Cloud Data Discovery and Access Service (DD&AS) is one of the core components of the Blue-Cloud technical framework. It It facilitates discovery and retrieval of marine data sets and data products from blue data infrastructures (BDIs), such as key EU infrastructures such as Copernicus Marine Service, EMODnet, SeaDataNet, and more, for external users in stand-alone mode. It interacts with the Blue-Cloud Virtual Research Environment, the component federating computing platforms and analytical services, for populating the VRE data pool.

Blue-Cloud 2026 - D4.2 VLabs Implementation Guidelines

This deliverable provides guidelines on how to implement the Virtual Laboratories (VLabs) in the Blue-Cloud Virtual Research Environment (VRE). First a summary of the activities of WP4 is presented, followed by an overview of the VRE services, that offer a comprehensive array of features, fostering collaboration, facilitating data analytics, enabling result dissemination, and ensuring seamless integration with external systems. In fact, the VRE caters to the entirety of the research lifecycle.

Blue-Cloud 2026 - D4.1 Blue Cloud VLabs technical requirements

This deliverable describes and summarises the technical requirements concerning the input data, workflows and outputs towards the implementation of the five Virtual Laboratories (VLabs) in the Blue-Cloud Virtual Research Environment (VRE). These technical requirements are assessed by CNR-ISTI, partner responsible for the Blue-Cloud VRE (WP5), to ensure they meet the platform requirements and further develop the services provided by Blue-Cloud.

Blue-Cloud D6.6 Fact Sheets for cluster projects and other core initiatives (Release 2)

Since the start of the Blue-Cloud project in October 2019, Blue-Cloud has achieved significant results. Blue-Cloud Open Science platform introduced a "de facto" federation taking place at 3 levels: the data, the computing resources and the analytical services. For each of them Blue-Cloud orchestrated mechanisms that successfully established interoperability and resulted in a Data Discovery and Access Service, the Virtual Research Environment and five Virtual Laboratories. Blue-Cloud working environments are serving more than 1,300 users in total spread across 20 countries.
