Marine plankton are at the base of the marine food web and play an important role in the functioning of coastal and open ocean ecosystems. Understanding how plankton changes through time and space key to assess the state of the marine plankton ecosystems and their response to climate change. The Blue-Cloud demonstrator Zoo- and Phytoplankton EOV Products is creating  phyto- and zooplankton biomass and diversity products, working on data from leading European infrastructures.

The Global Record of Stocks and Fisheries (GRSF) is an interactive web-based system which assigns unique identifiers to stocks and fisheries and federates knowledge on status/trends of stocks and fisheries across various sources. Test this Virtual Lab in the Blue-Cloud framework.

The Blue-Cloud Virtual Lab Plankton Genomics mines the rich metagenomic and metatranscriptomic data collected during the Tara Oceans mission and combines it with in situ or climatological environmental information to infer the function, taxonomy and distribution of the large portion of unknown sequences.
