EU Marine Data Services for the All-Atlantic workshop

This online workshop “EU Marine Data Services for the All-Atlantic and Global Ocean Data Spaces” is organised by the two EU operational Marine Data Services, Copernicus Marine Service and EMODnet in collaboration with the EU All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance.

The 2-hour webinar is scheduled on 11 May 2022 from 15:00 to 17:00 CEST. 

Objectives

• Discuss with international marine stakeholders across the Atlantic Ocean and worldwide how a future All-Atlantic Ocean Data Space could be realised by building on existing initiatives.
• Focus on regional approaches to marine data services using the EU Marine Data services - EMODnet and Copernicus Marine- as examples, and discussing these with international representatives of other regional marine data services.
• Take stock of the current capability across the Atlantic Ocean, and allow to collectively discuss ways forward towards an interoperable Atlantic Ocean Data Space, as a contribution to a Global Ocean Data Ecosystem providing transparent and accessible ocean data, information and knowledge for all.
