Blue-Cloud is inviting stakeholders to provide input on its Strategic Roadmap to 2030 through an open consultation. This roadmap will guide the future of marine open science, supporting the development of a federated ecosystem that improves access to ocean and freshwater data, computing tools, and analytical services.
As part of the broader European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) framework, Blue-Cloud contributes to advancing FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data principles for the marine and freshwater research community. The initiative is also aligned with international and European policy frameworks, including the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, the EU Green Deal, and efforts towards climate neutrality by 2050.
This consultation is an exercise to chart how the innovations, pre-operational services, and community best practices developed within the Blue-Cloud 2026 project can best be capitalised and integrated into the aforementioned operational European infrastructures (EDITO, EMODnet, Copernicus Marine), further contributing to connect them to EOSC via an EOSC Marine Thematic Node .
Contributions from stakeholders will support the evolution of Blue-Cloud services in tune with your needs and with relevant developments in the wider European and international landscape.
