Stakeholder Consultation on the Blue-Cloud Strategic Roadmap to 2030

Help us to improve and further shape Blue-Cloud!

Building on its established Virtual Research Environment (VRE), extensive data services, and user community engagement, Blue-Cloud is championing a common vision where major EU marine knowledge assets such as EMODnet, Copernicus Marine, and EDITO (the core public infrastructure of the European Digital Twin Ocean) are central to driving core data provision within the EOSC marine thematic space. It will further develop its architecture and services for researchers to co-develop and test ocean science applications, stressing the importance of using EC operational services for in situ and satellite marine data sharing and ingestion (e.g., from Research Infrastructures) directly to EMODnet and Copernicus Marine, for the benefit of the wider EOSC community and the EU DTO.

With this view in mind, Blue-Cloud 2026 is updating its Blue-Cloud Strategic Roadmap to 2030, which guides the way forward for the future evolution of Blue-Cloud’s digital environment as an enabler of open science in the marine domain. As part of this process, the Blue-Cloud Consortium is inviting feedback from the Blue-Cloud user community and from key actors in the European marine knowledge value chain with regard to Blue-Cloud’s current offering, positioning and added value to their efforts.

This consultation is an exercise to chart how the innovations, pre-operational services, and community best practices developed within the Blue-Cloud 2026 project can best be capitalised and integrated into the aforementioned operational European infrastructures (EDITO, EMODnet, Copernicus Marine), further contributing to connect them to EOSC via an EOSC Marine Thematic Node.

Whether you are a current or potential user of Blue-Cloud, an EOSC advocate, or someone with a keen interest in advancing marine knowledge and innovation, your input and feedback is very valuable to us. Please take this survey  and help us to continue evolving Blue-Cloud in tune with your needs and with relevant developments in the wider European and international landscape.

It will take you roughly 20-25 minutes to complete this survey. All your responses and contributions will remain anonymous and will only be shared as aggregated data. Thank you for your time and input!
