DTO Taskforce Workshop for tuning Blue-Cloud data lakes with DTO developments
The Blue-Cloud 2026 team is gathering for the Digital Twin of the Ocean (DTO) Taskforce Workshop for tuning Blue-Cloud data lakes with DTO developments, taking place in Toulouse (France) on 20-21 February 2024. During the workshop, we delve into the innovative digital backbone of the European DTO, a collaborative effort between MOI (on behalf of CMEMS) and VLIZ (on behalf of EMODnet). Recently awarded a grant to spearhead this initiative, the focus is aligned with the Destination Earth initiative under the Digital Europe Programme.
Blue Cloud 2026 plays a crucial role, in mobilising additional data resources alongside CMEMS and EMODnet. The establishment of Blue-Cloud Data Lakes facilitates dynamic data exchanges within the Blue-Cloud ecosystem and the evolving DTO landscape.
This workshop marks the beginning of regular dialogues and coordinated efforts between stakeholders, ensuring a seamless synchronisation towards a digitally empowered future for our oceans and freshwater domains.
Registration for the onsite event closing on Friday 16 February at noon CET
