On 21 November 2024, the Blue-Cloud 2026 and CLIMAREST projects formalised their collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement reflects their shared commitment to supporting the resilience, restoration, and sustainable management of marine and coastal ecosystems.
Blue-Cloud 2026 aims to provide open access to FAIR data and tools for marine research, while CLIMAREST focuses on developing strategies to restore ecosystems and address climate resilience, particularly in the Arctic-Atlantic region. The collaboration focuses on sharing data, improving research tools, and engaging the wider community through activities such as webinars and training sessions.
As part of the partnership, CLIMAREST will make use of Blue-Cloud’s Virtual Research Environments and contribute biodiversity and human impact data to enrich shared datasets. This agreement lays the foundation for coordinated efforts to improve data accessibility and support marine and coastal research.
