The focus of the round table will be Public, Private, Academic Partnerships and their contribution to sustained ocean observation. Discussion will be focused on what gaps exist in ocean data and how these can be filled. A bias will be placed on collaborative partnerships in solving these gaps and how to present these partnership solutions to governments to achieve support from the public sector. Understanding local stakeholder engagement must be part of the discussion and utilizing either citizen science to contribute to or generating scientific outputs that support local communities.
