EOSC-hub Week 2020
In light of the recommendations from the scientific community and public authorities in Europe regarding the COVID-19 situation, the event was turned into an online happening, taking place on 18-20 May 2020. The EOSC-hub Week 2020 will provide a key platform to align efforts towards a functional federated science cloud.
EOSC-hub Week 2020 is an important and timely platform to align efforts towards a federated science cloud, as it brings together service providers, representatives of the research communities, and policy makers engaged in the establishment of the EOSC.
About the EOSC-hub week 2020
This will be the final flagship event of the EOSC-hub project, an opportunity to ensure the lasting legacy of EOSC-hub in piloting the first in-demand services needed for enabling Open Science in Europe.
There have been a number of significant developments across the EOSC community since the last EOSC-hub Week in 2019: the EOSC Working Groups tackling Architecture, FAIR, Landscape, Rules of Participation and Sustainability have ramped up their activities and produced a number of relevant outputs; the regional EOSC projects have been launched with new contributions for EOSC; and EOSC Enhance has been funded to maintain and add new functionalities to the EOSC Portal. All these developments, along with EOSC-hub's own activities and results will need to be aligned.
The event will include specific sessions about the Impact of EOSC-hub on science communities, and Blue-Cloud will follow these developments closely. You can also vote for the Blue-Cloud poster at the EOSC-hub Week via this link.
