The Digital Twin Ocean

7 June 2021 02:00
Online

Every year, on 8 June, the World Ocean Day occurs. This year theme is "One Ocean, One Climate, One Future – Together" and a series of events are going to take place online to increase the awareness about the critical role our ocean plays for climate change mitigation on a global scale.

The Ocean Data Alliance is organising an event about the Digital Twin Ocean on 7June from 4:30 to 6pm (CEST). The online webinar is going to provide insights about the significant role played by data, captured with analog, digital sensors, and in situ and how they are consolidated with geospatial information, reports, and videos.

The attendees will understand what the Digital Twin Ocean is, what problems it solves, how the ocean can be twinned and which industries use the Digital Twin technologies today. Moreover, the event gives the opportunity to learn more about:

  • What is a Digital Twin Ocean?
  • What problems does it solve?
  • How much of the ocean can be “twinned"?
  • What other industries are using Digital Twin technology today?
